Just wondering who has an ipod hooked up in their bird? Got a nano for x-mas, just hooked it up to my old Pio deh-4400's aux input using an ip bus cord. I want to upgrade soon to the Pioneer Deh-p9800bt, with the ipod controller and everything. Anyone done a custom install? I am thinking about rigging up the ashtray area in the console to hold mine. Show me some pics!

i got a p880prs with the ipod adaptor. its in the glove box...since its all controled through the cd player...i wanted to keep it outta sight. the ground and power run under the console. power went to the cig lighter. ill be sure to take some pics tomorrow.

Does the ipod's screen stay on when the deck is controlling it? Cant wait for pics.

nope. it goes dark as if it docked to a home theater or being charged on a computer. and its also being charged while connected. ive left it connected in the car for 12hrs straight while i was at work so running down a battery isnt a big concern. id post some pics now....but i just got home from tha club and i gotta be at work in an hr...but i will get some up here.

I just recently got the Sony CDXGT310 since i was looking for something that blended into our interior like the normal stock radio, didnt want anything flashy or silver, then no one will steal it ! Got the sony Ipod integration and routed the plug to the right side of the center console, so when i dont use it, i tuck the cord to the side of the passenger seat, and when i do use it i just put the ipod in front of the shifter. Only thing the sony ipod interface is a little quirky, but it works a heck of alot better then using a scroll wheel while driving. Can get some pics if you want

Yup.....Gotta Nano in my car loaded with around 200 songs. It doesn't ever skip and I don't even keep c.d.'s in my car anymore.

I have a Kenwood KDC-MP528 and the Kenwood KCA-iP500 Ipod interface adapter. When it's plugged in the Kenwood logo is on the screen and everything is controlled through the receiver. I either set the Ipod in my cup holder (in a leather case) with my remote or i have this sticky type thing that sits on the dash and when you lay the Ipod on it it sticks...works pretty well actually.

In my future I plan to buy the ipod controller from pioneer and find an old 20gig ipod to use, prob get one with a broken screen, I don't think I need a working screen to transfer files to it or to use it in the car, I want it out of sight also to keep the interior looking clean.

I have a broken 2nd gen ipod, hooked up to my pioneer deck, and i know it's unusual, but i put the ipod in a case behind my climate controls, and just use the din tool to pull it out when i need to add songs, it keeps it outta sight plus a theive will never look for it there...

I got a Pioneer DEH-P6800MP and it works great, you control everything through the radio, and you get all the same menus as the ipod.

I bought a 5GB RCA Lyra for $70. I figure it was worth it for that price. I'd like to get that one from Palmguy, but I've got other stuff I'd like to buy right now.

Oh, and we've got some metal cases for the iPods now. Aluminum, or something. I just know it's strong, and looks cool.

Ive got a 2gb nano with the FM transmitter car kit for it... its made by Belkin.. just plugs into ur cig lighter.. no wires =)
