just got the 03 cobra wheels 9 wide from brad and was hoping to go 255x50x17 so the wheel well gap is not so bad. the car is lowered with the ebachs but i dont really want to roll the fender lip. the car is a 97, has this been done? or should i roll the fender lip and go 275s. i'm not to good at body work so how would i do that without making the car look unprofessional? i really want a nice classy agressive stance to it. money is no object. thanks.

Well, if money is no object, take it to a good body shop and have them roll/remove the fenderlip. Then you can run 275's in the rear without issues.

Robbie, if money is of no concern then get a match set of 255-45-17/285-40-17 rubber and get the fenders rolled. This is a good size tire in the way of height. It will complete the look. Only thing is that its tough to find a good deal on a match set in that size combination. Choices are limited a bit if you match them in style/brand.

Rolling the fender lip is not going to change the look of the car so don't sweat that.

I'm running 255/50s w/ OE 17x8 Bullitts with 30mm offset and Voghtland 1" lowering springs. My shocks are adustable koni's an even on the firmest setting and with the fender lips rolled I get rubbing in front on the passenger side under high speed, high load situations. The rear is fine. I have a pair of the 05+ wheels I'm going to try on the front to see if tucking the wheels in a little helps since the rubbing is on the outside edge.
