Hello
I have a 92 5.0 Sport, it has 98K miles on it.I shouldn't be saying
this(knock on wood) but it still has the original exhaust system on
it and when I was under it last weekend it appears to be still OK.
Is this unusual?Just replaced balljoints and struts and one set of
pads + rotors.

I far as I know my system is still stock on a 96 with 196k miles on it other then the Cat y-pipe assembly. OEM design of stock exhaust is better (longer lasting) then it used to be too.

I've got a 92 Sport - same thing with mine. I just replaced a bunch of stock equipment from the front suspension - still had factory tie rods, upper control arms, lower ball joints, sway bar end links, etc. Still has original exhaust in superb condition.

I am at 211,000 with the original exhaust from the cat's back.

However, I am about to put in my third cat unit.

Those seem to last about 110,000 miles.
