Okay the car is a 1993 5.0 LX

I was going to do a quick rear end fluid change on the car to put some Redline in there, but then I noticed it doesn't seem real easy.

Am I right in my assumption that you have to unbolt the big brace thing that connects to something (real technical, i know :).... but you should know what I mean) to be able to get the diff cover off?

Or is there an easy way of doing this?

Wal*Mart sells a little tool to do this job.... it's a little bottle that has suction power, with a tube on one end.. and it sucks it out without craking open the entire rear end. You just unbolt the little drain plug.... drain with bottle..... then insert new fluid in the drain plug.

Is it a "posi"?

If you have a posi rear end you need to add special posi fluid(probably molybdenum)additive to gear oil.Make sure you get the right stuff.

I only use Redline products in my cars and the Redline 75w90 has the additive already mixed in.

I am not sure about sucking the fluid out. I dont know if that will get it all out.

Oh well, time to start taking **** off :)

Thanks for the replies
