To do an EEC self test on a 96 4.6 Tbird using jumper wires and counting flashes on the instrument panel or a test light? I've searched but haven't found an answer. I went to this link http://www.allfordmustangs.com/Detailed/445.shtml I found the large connector but can't find the small STI connector.
Can't take it to autozone, no plates and it will only idle. Dies when you give it any gas.

You cant do a self test with jumpers because it is OBD-II. The only connectors that look like that would probably be the ABS diagnostic connector(under the hood), and it doesnt have the smaller STI connector. Your OBD-II connector is on the passenger side under the glove box.
