Back in early December I sent SilverBullit a money order for an alternator. He confirmed that I sent the money and said he would be sending the alt. on Monday. Here its Jan. and the alt. never made its way for Texas to Ohio. I have sent him PM after PM just for him to not respond. I just thought everyone would enjoy hearing how the guy does his business!

If it was a postal money order (US Postal Service), I'm pretty sure it becomes a federal case. That's what I've been told in the past at least.

It may be a federal case, but what MM is talking about is PREVENTION of a bad thing. Sir William has said many times that he'd set up escrow so that deals would be legit.

Since you have his name & address, did you try to get his phone number, by searching on excite.com, or other web-sites?

Maybe a quick phone call will jog his memory. I noticed his dad hasn't been on-line either, since the car was wrecked.

i happen to have chris's/silverbullitt's number. i think he hardly gets on here. another member from here and i went and picked his dad's wrecked 5.0 clean. i remember seeing the alternator. chris has a job where he travels alot. email his dad (james/blubird) and discuss it with him. they are good people, they wont rip you off.

Ok, not to go off on a tangent, but did you use a credit card through PayPal? If you didn't, you might as well make a direct transfer from your bank account to his. If you did, then your credit card company can help you get your money back even if PayPal can't.

In any event, you never give more money than you can afford to lose to anyone for any part that has no kind of warranty or guarantee that you will even receive it.

For me that amount of money is about $30.

Paypal can be a PITA as well. I suggest researching the seller to see if he has a good reputation. Some people can be trusted ,others can not. Have you seen the threads on modular depot about wheeler?

Yea I guess im small people too. I got close to 700 dollars taken out by paypal one night and they said they could not help me. I no longer have a paypal account. After countless transactions no less. Yes all with a credit card. The only reason I got it back was my credit card limit wasnt that high and I paid 4.50 every month for fraud protection. If I didnt have that I would have been skrewed with a hammer drill. So screw paypal. Rant over. You may continue your lives.

It depends on the people i have alwayes send money orders or checks but i have talk to some people on the phone and i have made it clear that i will come and see you if i dont get anything .
