hehehe.. it would seem that way.

i drive my car same way for 3 weeks... here were my mpg figures:
week 1 17.22
week 2 17.06
week 3 17.108

last week i put JL's stb back in..
filled up today: 18.79mpg!!

so technically.. does it???

curious as to anyone would know if a stiffer chassis improves gas mileage

btw.. temperature was avg 68, 72, 71, and about 70 this week.

There's no way! Something you did other than the STB must have affected it. A STB will add weight, only making your mileage lesser (although not enough to notice).

Those braces have ziltch to do with mileage. I would look at not using the heater and driving habits. Frankly you added some weight it would go down..

The slight weight increase would likely be offset by the fact that the less twist on the chassis, the more on the drivetrain, slightly more efficient power transfer means slightly less power needed to achieve the same speed.

I don't think it would have made miliage go up though at least not more than a hundredth or so.
