Once again it's time for us to be thinking about what to do on New Years day.

For those of us who would rather be out doing something instead of nursing a pounding head, an upset stomach or something even worse ... there is always HANGOVERFEST at Cordova Dragway.

This will be the 6th Annual "Run-What-Ya-Brung" event held at the track just North of the Quad-Cities on Illinois Route 84.

It is always alot of fun and for just $10 per person you can run your car, or you can sit in the stands and watch. The gates opens at 10am and racing starts at 11. SEVERAL members have gone in the past and we have always had fun. There is always a huge varity of cars, truck, bikes, quad-runners and even a snowmodile or two making passes down the 1/4 mile.

The event is a "weather permitting" deal so if the weather says nice andwe dont get a bunch of snow in the next week it should be a GO for New Years Day. The official status of the event will be posted on the tracks website at www.cordovadrag.com and also on the Super Coupe Club of Iowa site at www.sccoia.org

If you are planning to go, please let me know so we can touch base about our travel plans, spots to meet and arrival times.

You'll just have to do like I do ....... Go out NYE and have a few drinks, (Ya dont haveta get smashed to have fun), hang out with friends and go home by 2am. That way you can still get up by 7 or 8 to get to the track on time.

BTW, I'm not taking the '91 either. I'm going to drive the Mark VIII. After all, it's just for fun, and they dont do any track prep other than the 1st 60"
