RIP JL :(

:(

i heard about this the other day on fb from dirtydog. i was away on vaca in fl enjoying life. this isn't fair. jl did nothing but help people. such a shame. i spoke with him many times on here, a couple truck sites, and via the phone many times. so sad. RIP johnny, and my deepest condolences to your family.

:(

edit: did they ever figure out what caused the woman to commit vehicular homicide?

"Heart big as Texas" -- that was Johnny Langton.

And that is why there were hundreds of people at the funeral today. They had to open up the upper balcony of the church to get them all in. All of Johnny's co-workers came in the company trucks, I mean ALL of them. State police escort for the convoy of them for the whole hour long drive from the shop to the church.

Wow! What a shocker. I never got a chance to get to know or even speak to Johnny. Those of us who didn't seem to be in the minority. I can tell by the posts on this thread that he was a great guy. I have read nearly all of his posts since I started lurking on this forum years ago. I quickly came to realize that Johnny knew his stuff. I will miss him. My condolences to Johnny's friends and family.

WOW Totally shocked to hear this, I considered Johnny a friend, he came all the way to conroe from beaumont to show me how to do a PI swap, and since then my knowledge of modulars and cars in general has done nothing but flourish, and I have him to thank. He always answered my call when I had a question and knew he was the only one to have the answer, right there and then. I'll pray for his family

You will be missed Johnny. RIP

RIP Johnny. I never knew him personally and I've been more a lurker than an active participant for many years, but I do remember JL being around here from waaaay back when (even back into the old forum software days in the earliest of the '00's, IIRC) and always respected his graciousness and his knowledge of our cars.

This is a very real possibility, the media has been oozing around the house. Dawn has a sign on the front door which states "If you are with the media, you should know that I support and practice the 2nd amendment, and I do feel threatened by you." I can assure you that is very true, she stays in practice at the range regularly.

That sign may lead to trouble.

We had a weird neighbor display a similar sign in their yard. The Sheriff convinced him to remove it.

Maybe so, but I don't really blame her for it.

I haven't been on in awhile and just read this...my heart goes out to his family and friends.

WOW, I haven't been on in a few weeks, and was wondering wtf was going on with the site's background and at the top of the forum was JL's name.....:( this is terrible news for this forum. I never met the man but was a wealth of knowledge and will surely be missed. RIP
