Ok well I finally completed the install of the cooler on my car. There are a couple of things that are a PITA.

This is what was done when I was finished...

Unscrew Top line, Cut of the 5/16th fitting on the hard tranny line. Slip about 8 inches of rubber hose over it and hose clamp it in Three places. ( I was going to flare it and make it all mint but the flare tool I borrowed was not getting along with me).

Now for the connection to the rad.. You have the Rad, Then a Fitting that goes into the rad, and then a fitting that goes into THAT fitting that you slip the hoes onto and clamp down...(follow me?) This is where people seem to have a lot of problems.. mainly because the Brass fitting that screw into the rad's fitting does not fit properly. What I did was unscrew the fitting that screws in to the rad (stock from ford) and I bought a "1/4" Pipe thread" brass adapter, barbed end on the other side for the rubber hose to slide onto, and screw that directly into the rad. (The 1/4" brass I bought was actually for a rubber air hose for like a air gun...)

Now everything is nice and snug and finally no leaks!!! Also a little tip remove the fan/fan shroud it is 2 bolts and a clip for the fan easy to take out and might save a few layers of skin on your hands.

I used about 13ft of hoes when all said and done with it.
Here are some pics so you can see where I mouted the cooler and what not....

Mounted on Drivers side, Drilled 2 holes and mouted useing included bolts.

I bent the cooler down a bit so it would catch a little more air.

Here its not blocking the PS cooler and the rad is still getting a lot of clean air... (White walls in baby lol)

Whoa look.. a cooler...

The red lines are just so you can see how I routed the hose...You can't really see the lines because they are under some wires.. but they are there.

You like..? I like.. :)

I know I know I need to clean under the hood....:D

Well its tight but not... Like the first maybe inch is have to push the hose down.. but below that (there is like a little piece of plastic sticking out..) there's is enough room to ensure that the hose is not pinched or anything.

So you tie into the top line? I always thought you would tie into the bottom one. If the top line has the hottest fluid, wouldn't you want to catch it comming out of the heat exchanger the into the aux cooler then to the tranny?.

The top line is the return line back to the tranny.

Thats where me and everyone else has put there cooler.

If the return is the top, that means the lower has the hottest fluid. So I would need to install my gauge in the lower line, then the cooler in the top line. Correct?

I would think that to be correct. I do know that the Top line is the return line on my car. I am pretty sure it is the same for most models. The best thing to do is do a search and make sure the info is correct.
