Hey

a friend had his truck broken into last nite, they stole the owners manual

it just so happens, the wife forgot to take out the keyless entry code card...

you know what that means

anyone know how to reset the factory code that is in there? dealer said 1 hour labor

sho forums showed that some have resistors to resolder to determine code..

anyone help? i told him other option is to go to boneyard and find one w/ a module still in and swap them out

does it have the cool little keypad too?

the code is printed on a decal on the cover of the keyless box...and es to change codes, the pins have to be resoldered in the box to make a new code.

make sure that they confirm that this wipes out the old code. I remember reading here somehwere that it is possible to add a code, but the original still stays active.

yes... the factory is hardwired in, you can add a personal

the factory uses a series of resistors to determine the code, so they need to be pulled and resoldered to change the code.. at least, thats they way it is on the SHO
