Must be just the yellow tops? I could swear the blue and red tops are 36 month free replacement and 84 month pro-rated.

no need to get bent out of shape ABB, it does have a warranty, just like every other battery out there. Of course they will replace it. Did you know if you break a craftsman 50 years down the line you can still walk into sears and get a new one for no charge?

yes, your point being? Ill take a pic of my sales receipt and post it up, it may actually be 36 or 48, allthough yellow tops arent really considered a starting battery, maybe they have a lesser warrantee. Maybe 2 years is just the store's warrantee?

my point being there is no need for a thread involving a warranty on a battery that has been there for years.

Just thought people might like to know that the optimas are worth the money, the warrantees are no catches or gimmicks....sorry if i pissed you off, ill tell you the same thing i told the other guy, you didnt have to reply if you didnt like what you saw.

The red top warranty very clearly stipulates that if there are a lot of high drain items, like aftermarket amps, video, used in competition, etc, that the warranty is void. The Yellow top doesn't have quite the same dislaimer, since it is designed for that all the things that kill the red top.

I read up on all of the information that each one had, and I ended up with a Dihard gold for half the price for my 2000 Grand Marquis. I have a red top in the 97 Cougar, but it was there when I bought it. I probably WOULD buy a red top for it if it didn't already have one. I live in the desert, and batteries take a serious beating here.

And did you know it's pointless to post to a website about a car you don't own?

And here is their warranty table. The yellow top is considered a commercial battery:
