The la2 will provide 15# of boost in premium mode in the first 2 gears. All the rest will be 10#.

The la3 will provide 15#of boost in all gears above 4,000 rpm in premium mode.

Its much easier to buy a gillus valve from boostvalve.com and take the bcs out.

Assuming you have a stock 86 engine, you need an intercooler before you can increase boost. Anything over 10# will cause detionation and eventual engine failure. You will aso have to use premium fuel when boosting over 10#. (Someone else will have to chime in on the options on intercoolers since ive never had to deal with that problem and I dont want to misinform you.)

Stinger sells a nice front mount kit for $750 at stingerperformance.com. This kit does require you to change over to the SVO housing for the cool side of your turbo.

You can pick up a gillis valve at boostvalve.com for $50, it comes with detailed instructions on how to install the valve and the proper way to set it. I dont believe that the 83-86 tcs had the option of increasing boost, you were always limited to 10#.

10# from the factory yes,

Get an intercooler for it, no if ands or buts about it.

Add boost, add fuel, and pull timing :) HAVE FUN
