LED License Plate Lights

Make your own. Push a hard peice of something straight like coathanger sized into the little rivets that hold the light housings in. Push them out from the inside. Go into your garage. Bust out all the old yellow plastic. Replace with plexiglass. Buy at home depot or wherever. Get LEDs and holders get 4qty. 5mm white 3.6v LEDs from radio shack and a 12 power adapter. Whatever you can get to convert 12v to 3v is fine but radioshack has a thing that adapts from cig lighter to ac adapter style plug it is a multi adapter thing that allows you to select 3v 6v 9v or 12v so set it to 3v and dont change it or else you will blow your LEDs and that will suck. Make a LED bracket from plexiglass too drill 1/4" holes in it and use LED holders, put 2-3 LEDs in each one depending on your liking (2 is way bright enough). Wire the LEDs parallel which means positive to positive and negative to negative. Put the smallest fuse you can find on the 3V side of this, I could only find 12v 1a but smaller would be better. Aim the leds in \ / so they hit the plate good. Use clear rtv silicone to seal it up. Im sure you can figure this one out. Ill post pics sooner or later. BTW yes it looks badass way better than old junky yellow.
