Just curious, I'm picking one up soon, those that have pulled them out and put them in, where did you guys hook the chains up to, to lift the engine with a engine hoist?

Thanks in advance,

Brandon

I used the alternator mounting holes and in the back I used a couple of bolts in the back side of heads.

i pulled the intake off and used one hole in the back of the head, and one in the front on the other head. i think it was alot easier with the intake off alot more room.

Thanks guys,

The engine is out, I'm just looking to get it into the back of my truck for now, but I've seen some of those engine levelers around, I'll have t go pick one up when I pull my engine out and drop the new one in.

Wow, yall have some pretty straight cars LOL!

Thanks again guys,

Brandon

something about the weight hanging on a bolt in the aluminum heads makes me use the holes in the block.
i conqured.

also i use the block instead of the head because i don't want to stretch the head bolt too just in case.
