They're very rare of here. Someone's idea of making it more economical I expect. God knows what it sounds like, or what engine it's got.

Odd. Seems like it wouldn't be worth the effort. Though probably wouldn't be any harder than tracking down all the bits off a Diesel Mark VII on the other side of the pond.

I was trying to figure out what engine it is.
A Mark VII diesel was actually a BMW inline-6.

Here's the engine from the eBay Car

I think this is a 2.5L 4CYL "york" Diesel from a 1986-90s Ford Transit.
Here's a video (the air cleaner looks quite obviously relocated for hood clearance).

That figures. There are millions of those available over here.

I wonder what it's quarter time is? :)

IMHO, a swap is a swap; if the hood closes, even with dimples, I'll say it fits. :D

I'd hate to hear it idling beside me at a traffic light; I'd probably try to buy it to put it out of its misery.

"It had rod knock from hell! I had to burn it, it was suffering!."

"Sir, you used 200 pounds of thermite, wasn't that a bit excessive?"

:D
