Lately, whenever I pull a hard right, my oil pressure gauge drops to nothing and my check gauges light will come on. As soon as I come out of the turn it goes back to normal. I also noticed this happening when I make hard stops. The car runs fine otherwise, even when the gauge falls.

The car has leaky valve seals and this only used to happen when it was low on oil, now it happens all the time.

Is this an issue I should look into, or could it just be a faulty gauge/wire?

not really, remove a wire and unbolt it, teflon tape the new one, screw it on, attach the wire, I forget the price of the unit but its availble at almost any checker, autozone, pepboys, and the like..

yeah, i second that the oil is probably low. Mine does that when it gets low. (hopefully this oil adapter gasket will solve the oil leak--which makes the light come on)
