Hello All,
Well my son was on the hi-way when he lost overdrive and 3rd gears.
I took it is for a ride and notice it does not shift to 3rd.
I had replaced the 1-2 accumulator spring which was broken about 3 years ago.
The 94 v6 Thunderbird now has 135,000 miles on it. Is their something we can do to fix this or do we need a new transmission?
Thanks in advance.

Well once you get through the exhaust you are good to go. I spend more time on the exhaust than the rest of the job. The starter can be tricky for some I use an air ratchet and a swivel socket and get them out very quick. Drop the differential down far enough to slide the driveshaft out of the transmission up over the diff.
