i recently had a lifter go bad and replaced with new ones, changed out all of them and the cam was not scarred, but on one of the first few test drives after the repair i noticed a catalatic converter had a nice hole in it, so i decided to delete them neways ( no emissions in my state) but i figured that the bad cats would have caused the sputtering. i guess im kind of lost. where do i look next. it doesn't affect highway driving, only the first 3-500 rpms in every gear. please help, i dont want to ruin anything..

94 mercury cougar split port swap,

upr/lower intake manifolds, valvecovers, TB, CAI, MAF, fuel rail, some injector wires, TPS, IAC.....................

this was everything removed when repairing the bad lifters.....

please help me!!!!!!

make sure all vaccum lines are connected/in good shape, and all gaskets are in good shape. Make whoever your tune was done by...did it right. I dunno who did it, but if it was done by sct....then i would forget that last idea.
