Is there a trick to getting the stupid nut off?

I've completely taken the lca nd strut rod off the car and cannot get them apart. I could be real weak but it just doesn't wanna budge. I even broke my bench that had my bench vise bolted to it (it was cheesy though).

I'm going to try the impact in the morning.
Any other tricks or suggestions?

I think you are weak;) . Use your impact or get some better tools. I assume you are talking about the rear nut? It may have been easier to loosen it on the car.

That is the one. I tried on the car too. But at least the car "held" it a bit. (A tiny bit)

I got good tools. The impact it is. I need Chris's woman to come over and take it off for me. She da man!

No PB Blaster. I will have to get some.

Off to the 15/16 deep socket store.

If your talking about the big nut on the end of the strutrod, I used a propane torch to heat it up a little and it came right off. That was after trying to get it with my impact wrench, breaker bar, etc. It's almost like they used locktite red that had to be "melted" out before it would let loose....

No the one at the lca.

It just took the impact 5 minutes to remove it. It moved that slow.

Torqued back on fine.

Not sure why it was so difficult to go off.

New alignment done. Had eyeballed it pretty close.

Rides like new. Well I suppose, I've never had a new one. :)

But it is nice.
