I have a 97 bird, and I was wanting opinions on what the best lowering setup is...my desire is to have an aggresive stance, without having to worry to much about hitting potholes/speedbumps...I am going with the wings west kit, and I will be putting 17's with a lower profile tire (not skinnies) any suggestions on springs.

I have suspension techniques springs and have had no problem with scraping at all. Keep in mind though that I have stock size tires (for now) and no GFX kit. When I go with lower profile tires it will be from 26.6 in. to 25.9. So if you are going even more than that it could be close. I would probably stick with a linear spring since it won't have as much "give" on the first inch which could possible keep you from scraping. Hope that helps.
