The Inputshaft bearing replacement requires removal of the old bearing
and installation of the new bearing.
A Bearing splitter is used to remove the old bearing from the inputshaft.
Here an arbor press is used to remove the old bearing.
After bearing removal clean and inspect. Then you are ready to press
the new bearing into place.
Any pipe or tool which fits the bearing can be used.
We were not able to use our 1.75" exhaust pipe to press the bearing
on. Instead we used a control arm socket that fit the bearing.
We fliped the inputshaft and pressed on the bearing.
Here is the Inputshaft Assembly with needle bearing and 4th gear.
