Hi Everyone, would anybody know if a Ford Lightning 80 or 90mm is a direct plug-in to a 94 Bird 4.6l or is there an adapter or maf harness that has to be bought?

Just a reminder that you can't use a MAF sensor or MAF sensor housing that isn't stock without getting a tune. To answer the question, the MAF harness changed beginning in 96 so you would either need the pigtail or an adapter harness. The 02-04 GT MAFs have an integrated IAT sensor which requires you to add the pins as well.

no such thing as an 85mm oem maf...it's either 80mm (mustang gt's and some other passenger cars) or 90mm (lightning and 03/04 cobras)

the only cons about the 90mm maf is that you have to reuse your existing IAT sensor and plumb it in somewhere.....also, with either one, you need to decide what to do for an airbox, or if you plan to run an open filter inside the engine bay
