How will it sound? I have 2 1/2 inch pipes ran already with magnaflows in the back and the di/do in the middle. I went this route so not to lose too much backpressure with the 2 1/2 inch pipes. It's just not loud enough and I'd like to remove one or the other.
I'm using the 5x8x20 SS model. #14468.fluvannabear said:Gentlemen:
What size DI/DO did you use? Not sure about the 4Hx9WX20L Oval fitting. Of course would be 2.5ID. Have a '92 Sport. TIA. Burt
My exact plans. Nice. It'll be cool to have a sound clip before I get mine done. Except I have cobra cams and ported everytyhing so it'll sound slightly different, but probably not by much. There's a local guy from MN with that setup but with stock cats and it sounds awesome, not too loud, but not too quiet. But the cats quiet it down a lot too.Toombs said:Thomas -
I'm doing mine in a couple weeks (as soon as my backordered muffler shows up). DOHC, stock manifolds, 2.5 duals, no cats, 4x9 DI/DO Tru-X Magnaflow, and that's it. I'll let you know how it sounds. I'm thinking it might be a little loud, as I think that's the smallest Magnaflow you can get with the Tru-X in 2.5 DI/DO configuration. Most here seem to be running the 5x8 Magnaflow, which is 4 inces longer. Bigger muffler typically=quieter. We'll see how it turns out.
