Is a 96 mark 8 4r70w a direct fit in a 94 4.6 bird?
Is this a good replacement?
Im going with the converter and all,
My tranny just took a dump>>

If you use the Mark 8 flexplate and converter, you should be good to go. Might be a problem with the input/output shafts having a different # of splines...

EDIT: output shaft is ok since the mark8 driveshaft is a direct swap.

I have the mark shaft in my car
I found a guy with a recked mark 8
He only wants the engine
I say free tranny sure ill take it.

Better read the article on the trans. You will have to rewire the connector I believe at a minimum. The mechanical fit should be fine as long as you get the flexplate for the 6 bolt crank.
