Ok so on my next addition to my MN-12 family I have desided I want a Mark VIII the only thing is I love the older Mark VIII nose and roof line but I really dont like the tailights and bulge in the trunck ( I know its reminiscent of the Continental Kit ) but i like the rear of a Bird or Cougar so I wonder what it would look like "married" together so if anyone is good with photoshop here is a project. I know I'm gonna get "blasted" about this but it's just a thought due to lack of sleep.

I don't think it would look right and require some major body work.

The Mark VIII's sides have an inward curve the whole length of the car, whereas the MN12's don't.

Look right above the body line, see the inward curve:

Now look at the same place on the MN12:

Notice that the sides are very different.

Hopefully that will help.

The roofline is essentially the same up to the rear quarter .. It would be much easier to graft a Mark front end to a Tbird than to put a Tbird rear on a Mark.

I see what you mean, though the quarter window and c pillar on a Mark are different. I just don't like the rear of the Mark, although I didn't use to like the roof line of a Cougar but now I do.
