My 93 MKVIII is stumbling at low rpms under medium throttle
but idles fine when not under load. I scanned it but didn't find and codes.
I plan to install new wires and plugs tomorrow and would like to clean
the MAF but can't even see is, How hard is it to get it out and do you
have to remove the cowl at the bottom of the windshield ?

Also I don't have the TQ specs for plugs or the max resistance
for plug wires. Sorry but one more ?, my torque converter is very
stubborn to unlock and the engine bogs down before it will unlock.
A tranny shop says it might be the TPS. Anyone know the resistance
the TPS should show ??

Thanks :D

Well, the MAF is located inside the upper half of the air filter box. It's held in with four bolts, and really isn't that difficult to remove. There is no need to remove the cowl at the windsheild.

Oh, thanks. I thought it was tucked under the upper intake at the back.
