Hey Guys....

I am placing this up again, and it will work together with lightevergreenfrost's posts on our meet(s).

I have been asked again to throw this out to you guys on getting something set up at a local pub/grill of Westport Rd. called Woody's; formerly know as Hoops bar & grill for a meet/ show together on our cars, or any car for that matter. Parking in back will hold around 30+ cars. They (Woody's) want to start something like this starting around the 1st of May and to on going once a week, month thoughtout the warm months. Whatever!

Again any model of car is welcome. Getting something together for our cars (birds, cougars, MarkVII,VIII, Crown Vic's) call it "TCCoA KY Chapter Meet would be Cool. Say we can set up for a certain day, once a week, or month and a time for all to get together. A place to meet, eat, show and talk about what we need to do to go fast, our future mod's, whatever, maybe even help fix, or install a part(s) on.

I think this would a good thing to start to help anyone, meet new faces in our chapter.

If interested, show your support here, any suggestions as well, whatever you want to add!

I'm like lightevergreenfrost, I would to see a stronger show of our cars in all our meets, whereever they be held.

Thanks Guys for looking!

Who asked to make an inquiry about a meet... the owner of Woody's? I'm just wondering about regular customer parking and how that would effect the space we would need to have a meet.

The only other issue is how far out it is for some - for me it's fine. I know it's a straight shot from I-265 but it's kinda on the eastern side of the city (and that's a good thing IMO). On the other hand, it may not even be an issue if we have a good size turnout. Those coming from outside Louisville will more than likely make the trip if this is the case.

I vote go ahead and facilitate the process of getting approval with the owner of Woody's. If it is held on a regular basis, even monthly, the word will start to get out and eventually the turn out would be very nice. Allan

Yes. and there is parking on three sides of Woody's. They were going to give us the rear parking lot, like I said, it was around 30+ spots, and the two side parking lots are given to the other customers.

We were talking doing it on the weekend, either Saturdays or Sundays. The parking lots in the rear are mostly empty anyways, so there really would be no issues on parking.

Thanks Allan for your input and I hope to hear from others in and around Louisville to get a better hand on when to do these get togethers.

Again... Thanks!

Great! Looks like it may be able to work then. I'm working on gathering other MN12 folks and telling them about our meets/ meeting place to join us.

For those of you that may not know, Hoops was the bar&Grill that was there before. Woodys has been there for a couple of months now and has completely changed the inside and as well as their menu. Here is their up coming website, which is under construction, and should be up hopefully soon. http://woodyspub.net

Also for those that may be interested, TCCoA always has a hugh turnout at the WFC (WORLD FORD CHALLENGE), Bill Wheeler has always had a reserved area for all the Members to show off their cars at the CARSHOW. It has been at E. ST. Louis, IL. for the last several years now, but this year it will be in Indianapolis, IN. @Raceway Park, May 17-20. here is their site.... http://worldfordchallenge.com. A normal turnout for our cars at the 5 WFC shows I have attended was right at 20+. so who knows, maybe 30+ at Indainapolis this year. The WFC is usually the kickoff of the season.

Watch for info. on this HUGH Show from wheeler usually in March, April on the TCCoA site. Since this will actually be closer to KY. and all other eastern states, I wouldn't doubt the turnout to be a better turnout for our cars. I have noticed a whole lot of interest in the MN12 community on the eastcoast.

Lets get the word out on getting our meets together so we can make this our biggest meet yet.

Late April is best. I will be having finals the first week of May, and as a senior they will be a PITA. That sounds like a good location though. I think we can get a good turn out judging by how many people replied to the last thread and those who are on this one.

Im going to through a date out there and see what I get:

Sunday April 22, 2007???
Sounds like it'll work.... weather permitting of course.

Are we wanting to use the before date for a meet and afterwards cruise over to Woody's for food and drinks and show off our cars again? I'll go for that!

We'll see if that will work for the majority and go from there I guess.

Thanks for charming in on start up date.

Very good idea! I will have to check, though, to make sure that it's not the Sunday that I'm serving at church.
