I have an idea running through me head and I want to bounce in off of a few people.

Part of my dilemna is to decide WHICH gearset I will use for this T/L IRS I am setting up for the car.

I have at various times considered anything from 3.55 to 4.30 (I know)

My goals are to Bracket race and get this thing consistent down at 14.5. I ALSO want it as a daily driver.

My current question (I have already done the math is)

What if I use the 3.73 and SHORT tires at the track and then TALL tires on the street. If I did this I would probably use the speedo Gear that would make the street speedo correct but I don't rule out either a a compromise gear or switching them out every Saturday.

All this assumes a 7 tooth drive gear in my 4R70W
I would requires a 20 tooth gear for 26" tall tires and 3.73s
I would requires a 19 tooth gear for 28" tall tires and 3.73s

26" tall slicks with a 3.73 would result in 4500 RPM at 93 MPH in direct and
28" tall tires with a 3.73 would result in 2500 RPM at 80 MPH in OD

1. What are the tallest and shortest options I have for tires and slicks respectively?
2. What are the potential pitfalls for this plan?

pull the speaker in back on that side and you should be able to push it out most of the way...........i had to do that on my dr side.
