I had all my lights quit today on the way to work in the Black Cougar; Thankfully it wasn't really dark, and getting brighter...

Got to work, realized No Brake Lights, turn signals, taillights, anything.

I'm really, really lucky I didn't get run over!

The red Cougar had one light fail, and it was the mfs, so I pulled the switch in the parking lot, and rebuilt it on my lunch break. All the contacts were covered with copper rust; it took some serious work with sandpaper to fix it.

Put it back in, and all is well.

If you have never replaced/rebuilt your MFS, check your lights, especially brake lights, regularly; Don't feed the semis! :)

Any weirdness in the operation of the switch is a sign of its failure; my right turn signal has been intermittent for a while.

The Headlights, taillights, turn signals, and brake lights all go thru this switch; it is a major bummer for it to fail.

Just figure I'd share; maybe it will help somebody else.

I usually check all my lights in a storefront window reflection, very easy to see everything that way, JPT.
