haha not with those bullits on that car.....i raced once with my chrome cobras on, added 3 tenths to my quarter time,

so lets see

Cold air intake, steeda underdrives, j-mod, flowmaster cat back and stock 15" wheels i ran a 15.43

with the 17" wheels

my best time was a 15.72 so if i were you, id find some good sticky stock size tires and run those

but still probably low 15's

Soo, what you are telling me is my 14.48 could be a 14.1 if I took the 17x9s off? I find that hard to believe...was there a weather difference, etc? that would place my car at a 14.1 N/A all motor on a stock T/C and nonTL 3.08s...I don't buy it.

and I say you could reach a 14.9 :D

i bet with a "higher powered" car, it makes less of a difference,

but i notice it a lot on a stock car, both runs were about a month apart on a friday night right around 50 degrees, and kinda dry outside. so weather was kinda close the only other variable would be the kind of gas i had in the car, with the 15's on i ran premium, i know it doesnt make a difference but i noticed my car runs better with it, and then with the 17's i ran regular gas.

but if you think about it, my chrome wheels each alone weigh 27lbs, and then add a tire on top of that?? what about 40 lbs probably??

alright so a stock 15" wheel and tire is probably 25lbs each

alright 15x4= 60lbs more

i can say with my girlfriend in the car i went from a 15.4 to a 15.9 on the same night at the track.

ive been told its not so much the extra weight but the rotating mass that makes the difference...

i guess why do all the guys run smaller wheels (ie 15") on faster drag cars, one the tires but i bet also its the weight.

I'll second the low low 15s/high 14's motion.

Who wants to guess what I'll run after the engine swap?? :D
400-ish RWHP + 100 shot of N2O through an M5R2 and a 3.27 TL rear end and probably straight pipes ;)

now how will it run?

all those with 3.73 trac-loc, then how will it run?

Well... considering you'll have to row through the gears, I'll guess 16 flat. Anybody that's ever driven an m5r2 knows exactly what I'm talking about. :D
