Just got a 8.8 from junk yard. How can tell if it came off an MN12 car? '96 model T-Bird btw. :confused:

Dam, I forgot to mention that the tag is missing off the pumpkin. :eek:

No SanDiegoLX I didn't pull it myself and the DA that did thought there were some clips on the inside that held the axles in place and he didn't bother to put the tag back on it. And yes dirtydOg it is cast iron with aluminum cover.

Call the DA - and have him look inside the drivers side door pillar and
get the axle code 4 U :cool: grey label

Thanks LST, I was wondering if info was somewhere else on vehicle. Btw, what does MN-12 stand for?

Hmm, that's interesting. Something like the SVO Tauras & Mustangs. Are there any other special T-Birds out there?

MN12 = 89-97 Tbird/Cougar

and for the record, FN10 = 93-98 Lincoln Mark 8
