i.e. Something that holds water!!!

I haven't been doing much "automotive" things lately so I haven't been posting here very much. I thought I would post what I've been spending a lot of my time on...

So far I have all the new wood (OUCH!$!$!$), “most” of the patterns created, and a couple of gallons of CPES. So now I get the fun of cutting, CPES treating, and fiberglassing the wood back in. If everything goes according to plan I hope to have it assembled, painted, and in the water by the summer of 08…. Yeah if everything goes according to plan… wahahahahahahahahahaha

Anyway, here are a couple of photos of how far I’ve taken her down.

I still have a LONG way to go, but I’m making good progress. The engine is pretty much done (back at the machine shop for stainless steel valves/port work and forged pistons), the jet drive is brand new and the only major expense remaining is going to be the paint. Thank goodness I’m not having to pay someone labor to do all this work!!!

Anyway, I just thought I would post what I've been spending my time and money on lately. :D

Wish me luck!!! :beek:

Looks like hot work in the AL summertime... I broke a sweat just reading that, hope you've got something else that holds (cool) water nearby when you get done working on it for the day.

Lemme guess, you'll be painting it red when it's finished?
