This is technically my mums car. My sister's normally the main driver, but the car has been having some intermittent cutting out problems, so I've been replacing parts on it to try and resolve matters. We've had it since new, its a Vauxhall Astra 1.6 stick shift.

Every time I thought I'd fixed it and gave it back to her, I'd get a call a few days later to say that it had cut out again. So I decided to drive it to work for a week or two and give it a thorough test.

My t-bird has been garaged over the winter. I dragged it out a few weeks ago for it's annual test (which it passed), I also gave it an oil change, so hopefully it'll be getting some miles in during the summer.

My own daily driver is now normally a later version of this car. Takes a bit of getting used to the stick when driving this one though, after having had autos for the last 10-12 yrs.
