I have a 90 SC and just found out the colant tank needs to be replaced. I was wondering if anyone knows if a tank from an n/a 3.8 or 4.6L/5.0L are the same or at least will fit in without to many problems?

I think they are very different, and not even close to swappable.

SC has the OVERFLOW on the drivers side, correct?
on a 3.8NA/5.0 it is on the passenger side
on a 4.6 it is a degas bottle and a totally different animal, it attaches to the lower radiator hose not a little nipple off the radiator.

For the SC, it depends on the year. Gen1 are passenger, 1994+ are driver's side. Same for the 3.8NA.

Matter of fact, it didn't matter which motor for the location, but the year DOES matter!

it is a 1st gen (1990) and the bottle is on the passenger side, so i guess my question is will a bottle out of a 1st gen t-bird or cougar with a n/a 3.8 work in an sc/xr7?
