I build the 4r70 in all the locals and have mailed a few out also his trans is identical to mine, do its holding nearly 700 rwhp if not 700 lol, and it held up quite well at the track, with no issues even drove it home lol, your best bet is either me or Alan, for a build

How much money do i need to save up for mine to be rebuilt? I want that thing bullet proof lol. I can pull it out and ship it to ya, unless shipping would kill me.. Ive never shipped anything that big or heavy, so that'll be a new experiance lol

He's showing a 01 GT Trans with j-mod in his sig. I guess that would be the building block.

you want it bullet proof, you better flop out the cash for a 4R75W core. Alan acquired mine almost 3 years ago and it was the better part of one G, if not a tad more. Expect to pay more now, lol.

Your definition of "bullet proof" and everyone elses are vastly different.

But, yea, you're looking at about a G to start with and build a 4R75W trans. See the list below for sources. I sourced mine from an 2003 Mustang GT.

2002
4R70W used in all applications

2003
4R75W used in V8 Mustang (GT and Mach 1), and 5.4 L trucks (F150, E-series Van, and Expedition)
4R70W used in all other applications (V6 Mustang, Mercury Marauder, 4.6 L Van, 4.2 L F150, 4.6 L F150, and Crown Vic/Grand Marquis/TownCar)

2004
4R75E used in 5.4 L-3v F150
4R70E used in 4.6 L F150 (except F150 Heritage)
4R75W used in Mercury Marauder, Police Interceptor, V8 Mustang (GT and Mach 1), and 5.4 L-2v trucks (E-series Van, and Expedition)
4R70W used in all other applications (V6 Mustang, 4.6 L Van, 4.6 L Expedition, Crown Vic/Grand Marquis/Towncar, and F150 Heritage).

2005
4R75E used in 5.4 L trucks (F150, E-series Van, and Expedition)
4R70W used in F150 Heritage (sold only in Mexico)
4R70E used in all other applications (4.6 L Van, Crown Vic/Grand Marquis/Towncar, and 4.6 L F150 (except F150 Classic (sold only in Mexico))

2006 to 2008
4R70W used in F150 Heritage (sold only in Mexico)
4R75E used in all other applications (Van, Crown Vic/Grand Marquis/TownCar, and F150 (except F150 Heritage (sold only in Mexico))

To be honest I've not seen enough difference in them, the main thing is proll a better valve body, the internals are very similar, most of the stuff being identical

In stock form..For an extended period of time..

Lets say 1000 passes.. :D

How much horsepower can the 4R75W handle?

Compared to a 4R70W that's bone stock ??

Intresting. The transmission I bought as the core to have built was listed as a 4R70W from a 2004 GT. I wonder if they goofed somehow and I actually have a 4R75W?

AFAIK, the Mach1 and the Marauder were the very first to get the 4R75W. No sn95 GT mustang got it AFAIK.

If I remember correctly... I think Darrin originally got mine out of a wrecked mach 1. but after so many valve body swaps and taking it into Alan's shop to get rebuild... there's no telling what's in it. I hope it holds up to 600RWHP is all.
