ok so the fuel pump is going out in my 95 mark viii. iirc i've read that you can swap out to the 96-98 cobra fuel pump and seeming as how i am wanting to swap out intake and fuel rail someday i figure i can start here. will the 98 cobra fuel pump work and which is better federal emissions 85-105psi or california emissions 100-120psi? thank you.

ok this may sound getto but what if i were to clean the original sock filter would that work?

iirc in order to do the cobra intake swap and fuel rail/injectors you need a higher flowing fuel pump ie: 96-98 cobra fuel pump.

How much is this pump that you are looking at? If it is over $100 just go to supercoupeperformance.com and buy a 190 or 255LPH Walbro pump. The 255 will be more than you will ever need. I just got a 190 from there for $125 shipped. It came with a new screen and everything that you normally replace when doing a pump.

i as well, when you swap to 96-98 cobra intake you also would swap to the cobra fuel rail/injectors and to c-heads from the stock b-heads. not completely sure about the importance of the head swap but iirc what i've read said its a must for the intake swap.

thank you for the correction. maybe it was the intake swap from later years that require the head swap but pretty sure you still need the cobra fuel rail for the intake swap

I'll bite, what do you mean GM? Why can't he change the injectors on his car?
because 11 times out of 10, when people "hear" they can just swap out injectors and don't even mention getting tuned, then they dont even know that they HAVE to get tuned
