That red thing clamped to the end of the return line, with the arrow pointing to it "fuel return"

1. What is it called?
2. What does it do?
3. Where can I buy one?
4. Is it even necessary?

Mine tore off when I pulled a doner right pump assembly out of the tank. I have an idea what the answer to #2 is - presumably a check valve allowing returning fuel into the tank, but not tank fuel back in the return line(because that helps...?) - it seems to be there on every new pump assembly, and is likely used on numerous ford return pump assemblies, but I can't find anything resembling it separately on rockauto.

IDK what it's called, but it's the part that makes a whoopee cushion. :grin2:

It's a cheap, low pressure one-way valve.
