I have a 1993 lincoln mark viii. The heater core blew. Has anybody done this that might have some insight or tricks to make it easier. From what I have found the entire or most of the dash has to be removed to replace. Thanks for any info anyone can pass along

& MK VIII specific Info here - http://www.markviii.org/LOD2/index.htm - While replacing Heater Core & even though the bad Blend Door Actuator Arms were 97-98 you will DEFINITELY want to do something with your Blend Door also while you are in there or you WILL get the joy of doing that ripout TWICE~!

The Blend Door Actuator is more likely to go out before the Blend door itself on a Gen 1 Mark.

Changing the Heater core is a pain, even with the dash out due to the way the coolant lines are angled and you need to put it in with the foam piece, etc ..

Have fun.
