On the cougar, I'm going to be running a LC-1 wideband full time. One of the analog outputs is going to be producing a narrowband signal.

When feeding the narrowband output back into the computer, it is typical to cut and splice into the signal wire of an existing oxygen sensor.

The problem is that I only have one bung. For both sensors to be plugged in simultaneously to prevent codes from being thrown, the normal o2 has to sit outside the exhaust... With its heater on.... Possibly starting a fire....

SO.... If possible, I'd like to build my own mini harness to plug into the o2 slot that would pretend to be an oxygen sensor...

I'm not completely clear on what the 4th wire is though... 1 is the signal wire, which comes from the wideband controller. Two are heater power and ground... But what's the 4th?

Any suggestions on how to simulate the heating element still being there? Resistor?

Have you looked into o2 simulators?
