about 3 months ago i had a new transmission installed in my 95 4.6
i went on a little road trip to spokane WA which is about 5 hours away and on the way back i started experiencing some problems.
when i come to a stop the car idles down way low almost to the point where its going to stall.
when accelerating from stop i feel a pretty strong shutter along with a slipping type feel when i downshift when going uphills or whatnot. on the highway the car ran great with no symptoms but as soon as i slow all the way down or stop it acts like its breaking down and my OD light started to blink just as soon as i got back home....
does this have anything to do with the TC? im going to take it back into the shop that installed it but im looking for ideas so i dont get jewed.

Maybe the TC solenoid is screwed up. Sounds like when you slow down it's not unlocking the converter or something. I'm sure Alan or Darrin will chime in here w/ some insight.

Also, did they use your original case for the rebuild, or did you get a whole different trans? The older trans. are not known for their longevity. The OD light flashing is the trans. way of saying something is wrong. It's the equivalent of the CEL for the motor. Either way, the shop that you had it rebuilt at should fix it for free.
