I just got a 1987 Cougar with a 2.3 Turbo 5 speed swap!
The car is beautiful! mint! other than a scuff on the back bumper and a chip in the front. no rust anywhere, but it has a cracked windshield. 54XXX miles on the turbo motor. I LOVE IT!!!!

so anyway, i am new to the turbo clan... was thinking about doing the SC throttle body swap (do i need to bump up fuel pressure with the bigger t-body?) needs an 8.8 rear end, sub frame connectors, bigger intercooler.. just little things. it has a t3 turbo, and i got basically everything i need to build a second car with it. i got a 2.3 turbo motor with the IHI turbo, t5 tranny, clutch and flywheel, driveshaft, all the sensors i'll ever need, and a stock t-body.

there will be some pics posted!

Hello Friend

You bought that car from Schlodes...nice cougar. How fast do you want to go. The T3 will get you into the low 14's without any problems. The biggest IC you can fit in the front of the car will always help. Then there is Methanol injection, WB.....all kinds of fun can be had.

www.turbotbird.com under faq's will give you some good ideas.

Sweet. The Turboed Cougars are bad a$$ and rare. Get your self a Gillis Boost valve and K&N filter first off. Then go to the sites I have sticked and have a ball.
Thanks,
Chris
