Aluminum is not the answer for everything. :boom: Getting the slave cylinder in the transmission tonight to hopefully put the transmission in the car, start torquing down the bolts and they don't stop turning. So dad gets into it and pulls one of the bolts out, sure enough aluminum halfway up the threads. :redmad: :redmad: :redmad: :redmad: :redmad: So much for that. Now to start pulling the other M5 out of the parts car. :redmad:

That was first thought, but can't do. There's not enough material (wall) to do that. By estimate, there's between 1/4" and 1/6" between the outside of the bearing cap/retainer and the threaded or once threaded hole.
