Dude where that would be a problem for me is high speeds; tires grow a bit on the interstate. :) Well, mine do, lol.

You’re going to need to roll the fenders, I tried getting around it with airlift bags but even maxed out they I’ll get some scuffing. Worth it though, big tires look awesome on these, 295-45-18 😁

You can see where it rubbed the paint off, and it rusted a bit. :) I've rode that ride, lol. Similar situation in an 81 Subaru. Blew the driver's front tire; spun across 5 lanes of traffic, right where I40 joins I75. Ended up sitting in the far right lane, facing oncoming traffic. I can't recommend it. :)

What happens is that heavy cornering drags the top of the tire along, acting thru the belts. I had a set of curves like the dragon twice a day; the other tire was almost thru.

New center caps came in. Not happy with them but they are at least a baseline. I need a 61mm cap diameter, thats at least 3mm taller than what I have now. For $10 I dont think its bad. Plus I have some sort of cap now.

I could probably get away with keeping these if I make my own snap-in "emblem", as these are actually for a nissan and I just pulled those emblems out.

Took a day off so got a lot done today.

New set of tires on the truck,

And had the gold ones first start of the year.
Red car is moved out of the garage in preparation for its new drift season (opener is on 4/1), gold ones back in the garage to pick up from last year. Need to get the transmission/speedo working right. Will probably also get an aluminum driveshaft. And need figure out the steering issue. Then tires.

Looks great! Cobra Rs were overdone but not without good reason, they look just right on LX TBirds
