My T-bird, ('97 4.6, 77k miles) went from being normal one day to having the CEL on the next. After taking it to AutoZone to have the codes pulled, I ended up with the following:
P0135 O2 Sensor: Sensor 1 Bank 1
P0141 O2 Sensor: Sensor 2 Bank 1
P0161 O2 Sensor: Sensor 2 Bank 2
P0155 O2 Sensor: Sensor 1 Bank 2
Basically during the span of 1 day the car went from being normal to having all of the O2 sensors going bad. Something doesn't click here...
A buddy of mine, (also with a '97) mentioned that sometimes the CEL will throw bogus codes to signify that a major service is needed, (as in the 75k service). He said that I should just disconnect the battery to clear the codes. That doesn't seem to click either...
Does anyone here know what's going on with my T-bird?
