i've tried it on my sct tune bird. with the spout in, standing still and punch the gas the tire roasted for couple seconds. took it out, it roasted the tires for about 1 second and no more.

with the spout out it retarded the timing by couple degrees.

this is useful if you got bad gas and the car is pinging. take it out and it may reduce or eliminate the pinging thus save your engine.

AKA octane plug. Stock it removes timing, but different tunes may add or subtract even in different amounts. If you have a tune, as your tuner before messing with it if you are unsure.

I got 2 tunes from lonnie so I could run any grade fuel available since they dropped 93 around here.... (dang country living).

tune 1 is for 93 and pull plug for 91
tune 2 is for 89 and pull plug for 87

Rub it in why don't ya! j/k :D

Every station in this town has slowly gone to the 87 - 89 - 91 scheme.
I lost my last 89 - 91 - 93 station about a week ago. :(
