My '93 SC is launching oil out of the dipstick any ideas on why this could happen?
Oil levels are normal when checked so I am out of ideas. :confused:

I checked all the lines running from valve cover to valve cover and changed the PCV and it didnt help. I guess it is a bad ring.

While running can you feel pressure blow out the dipstick hole?

I am so disgusted with the car right now I don't want to get close to it mechanic is coming by tomorrow anyway. :(

Same thing happened to mine. I have an aftermarket blower putting out alot of boost so it would actually blow the dipstick out of the tube. If it happens under hard acceleration it is the rings. It's a symptom I've heard called reverse compression.

same thind happens on my 91. i ended up getting a new dipstick and it didnt help any. i dissagree with the PCV theroy in some aspects, because that was the first thing i changed when mine started acting up. i dont know. i just deal with it.

Yup it's the rings looked at it today and I can see steam coming out throught the dipstick and removal of oil cap show steam out throught there too.
