ok, i posted previously about my car overheating. today i lost my heater. no heat whatsoever. heater core isnt leaking, water pump isnt leaking, and the coolant is overflowing into the reservoir and thus all over the ground. exhaust no longer smells liek coolant, and the white smoke is very faint. my thoughts are that it could either be air in the coolant system, and it's vapor locked, or the HG... if it is the HG.. this bird is prolly gonna go for its last bath... in teh arkansas river. if anyone can help me, it would be appreciated. (both ideas, and getting it to the river) hehehe:D

What does the coolant look like? Are you getting good flow through the heater core? Have you replaced the thermostat? Did you have any kind of stop leak in the cooling system?

the thermostat is new. like i said. i have no heat inside teh car whatsoever. i think the cooling system is blocked somewhere, because its obviously not flowing correctly. which leads me to believe that it may have air in it, because it does from time to time work correctly.

got it... it was air in the cooling system. no more white smoke. no more overheating, i drove it about 5 miles, and i have heat back in the car... now, just to figure out what might be the problem with the oil pressure dropping at idle.

ok.. not air. there was air, and there was coolant leaking out from the vent plug tree. but it is the headgasket. just a pinhole leak. it was starting to misfire, and gulp coolant like a thirsty irishman. so its in the process of getting fixed. thatnks for all the help guys. the coolant was getting carbon and gasses in it, but no coolant in the oil.
