I have the inner lights of my 97 painted with the eybrows they look god but Id liek to Smoke.. or darken the interior for a differnt look. I currently painted the outside of the clear crners to mimic the style of the eyebrows onthe headlights but Id rather smoke the ionterior or them all so I got some new clear corner sbut not sure how to open them without breaking them the plastics are moulded together ya know. Any ideas besides dremel it? thanks

nope, you gotta cut them open. i tried opening up a set of 96+ corners and they would have cracked if i had tried any harder. the plastic is thinner and more likely to crack than the plastic headlight lenses.

Sorry, but I dont think there is any other way to get them apart but cut them. They are sealed together too well, and they are too weak to pull apart without breaking them.
looks good dude

i got youre answer

dude i already been there done that.... first pop the metal clips off...ford uses a special 3M type sealant to keep the water out and you have to warm youre oven up to like 200 250 degrees (pre heat first) and let the headlight sit in there for at least 5 mins straight pull it out handle it carefully cuz itll be a lil soft and try to pry it off then..... if youre not confident doin this go to the parts/junk recycler pick up a headlight and practice.... i was able to do mine with min of fuss and i sealed it back up after i scraped out all that 3m crap, with clear silicone sealant.......remember its not the temp that really matters i found out... well i mean its important but more important is how long you leave it in there.... try to use a cookie or baking sheet thats bigger than the bottom of the headlight cuz if you dont... then the headlight will deform around any edges that the bottom rests on.... any more questions let me know..... by the way you should see what i did with my tail lights... i customi made them clear.... not the cloudy type - crystal clear lens overlay on the stock light without any crazy red reflectors... the tail lights where the birds are are just the stock tail lamps with clear covers over them.... i removed the birds and they may return... i just like the clean look for now... i may add some neon lights back there to backlight the birds if i do decide to put them back on...

i think hes talking about popping open the corner lenses not the headlight assemblies. And im surpirsed your headlamps didnt deform at 250 degrees for 5 minutes. When i pryed my lenses apart i heated them at 175 for 2 minutes and they were plenty hot and came apart easily.

But for the corner lenses, i think the only option is cutting them and there isnt much getting around that.....and it sucks.
