My Problem: My '93 V6 is running super rich. The codes indicate that both o2 sensors (although new) are showing a lean reading, which is tricking the computer into enriching the air/fuel mix as much as possible ("richest adaptive limit") which is in turn giving me horrible fuel mileage. It smells pretty bad as well.

Replaced/Checked/Repaired:

O2 Sensors
TPS
MAF Clean
IAC valve
Vacuum lines
Air Filter
Fuel Filter
Timing is correct
Throttle body & Intake manifold clean
Coolant temp sensor
Fuel system cleaned
Seafoamed,
etc.

Please help, this is driving me crazy!

If the MAF sensor has failed electrically causing it to falsely report less air metered than there is actually entering the engine, it could certainly cause the symptoms you describe. The next thing I'd try if you're certain there are no vacuum leaks etc. would be to replace the MAF sensor.

Update

Replaced MAF as of yesterday, reset eec. Codes changed from the 171 & 181 to just 172 (twice?) still seems rich. hmmmm...probably about to take it somewhere
